Lighting control with e.control.t10 and e.control.t10m astronomical timers from E.NEXT Company
25.04.2023An astronomical timer is an electronic device that controls automation devices according to a preset programme based on the time of sunrise/sunset. Its use as a street lighting control device has a significant advantage over a conventional timer.
The device has a programme based on the geographical data of our planet and the annual cycles of sunrise and sunset. In fact, it looks like this: when you initially set up the device, you set the coordinates of a certain location, and then the device automatically determines the length of daylight hours, sunrise and sunset times, and switches the lighting on or off accordingly. It is also possible to manually adjust the time to provide a delay or advance time for triggering and to switch to daylight saving time. If the astronomical cycle is not enough and you need to create a more flexible control system (for example, light masking during curfew), the timer provides the ability to set up programmes for switching the device on and off within the astronomical cycle.
There are single-channel — e.control.t10m and two-channel — e.control.t10 astronomical timers. Two-channel timers can control two independent lines simultaneously, each with an individual programme.
