  • The Company E.NEXT has implemented a project for installation of two 35 kV capacitor banks in Poltava region

    05.11.2025

As part of cooperation with one of Ukraine’s electricity distribution system operators, E.NEXT specialists developed and justified a technical solution, prepared the detailed design documentation, and installed two 35 kV block-type capacitor banks (CBs) with a total installed capacity of 5.5 MVAr at a 35 kV substation ************ in Kremenchuk District and at a 35 kV substation ************ in Lubny District.

Each installed unit consists of a 35 kV capacitor bank block manufactured in a «double star» configuration with unbalance monitoring and pressure sensors on each capacitor, as well as a 35 kV recloser block that serves as the switching device for energizing and protecting the capacitor bank.

Both block-type installations are designed for automatic voltage level control in 35 kV networks under normal, emergency, and post-emergency operating conditions. This solution is 3.6 times more cost-effective than constructing a new 35 kV overhead power line, does not require land allocation, and is implemented within existing substations.

The successful implementation of this project once again confirmed the reliability of E.NEXT solutions and demonstrated effective partnership between the Company and Ukrainian power grid operators.

    Everything will be E.NEXT e.moji
